Training and Consulting:

Using our inhouse BSF Training Curriculum, Protein Masters conducts BSF Production Training sessions for individuals, schools, community projects, farmer groups, county governments and national governments in East Africa. Since its inception, Protein Masters has successfully conducted over 3000 training sessions

Advocacy and Awareness:

Protein Masters uses Information, Education and Communication (IEC) on BSF to mainstream beneficial insect husbandry (with emphasis in BSF) as a sustainable source of human/animal nutrition, essential oils, organic compost and sustainable waste management. Our Advocacy & Awareness programs are popular with the recently implemented Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) in Kenya which has seen us train primary (elementary) school pupils on BSF

Research and Innovation:

Protein Masters uses strategic partnerships with universities/academia and research institutions to gain indepth knowledge on beneficial insects and their vast potential.

Black soldier fly unit installation :

Beneficial insect product is both capital-intensive and technical. A successful installation requires proper training and after-sales support. Protein Masters supplies and installs "plug-and-play" black soldier fly production units providing equipment, infrastructure, start-up cultures, training, and expertise to aspiring BSF producers. We have completed installations in 35 out of 47 counties in Kenya, and in three East African countries (Uganda, Rwanda, and Ethiopia).

Protein Masters supplies BSF inputs, equipment and value-added products such as BSF organic compost and dried livestock/poultry/fish feed with upto 40% protein and 35% fat content.

Governance:

Protein Master's organizational hierarchy encourages collaboration, productivity, research, innovation and circularity. The organization is an a field that, though well researched and documented, is largely untapped with opportunities in the horizon,

The company comprises three main bodies, that is;

• Executive Management - this component comprises the Managing Director/founder, Deputy Director/Co-founder, and five heads of department, and is responsible for daily operations.

• The Board of Directors comprising the Founder/Managing Director, a representative from the panel of experts, the Secretary of the Board and the Chairman of the Board. This body is tasked with strategy, policy and oversight.

• Panel of Experts - these are academics and experts in animal nutrition, nutrition, and entomology who are partners of Protein Masters and contribute immensely to the organization's success through research, case studies, academic papers and mentorship.

BSF touches on numerous cross cutting issues such as human nutrition, animal nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, sustainable waste management and climate adaptation/resilience. This requires a dynamic and adaptable corporate culture that identifies and nurtures opportunities in the BSF ecosystem and value chain.

Egg and larvae deliveries:

We distribute our breeds in the form of eggs and young larvae, grown and dispatched from protein master insecterium as regular shipments to your facility.
